About the Role
The Technical Product Owner - Infrastructure is responsible for the delivery of infrastructure in support of the organisational delivery pipeline.
As a hands-on management role, the Technical Product Owner manages a small multi-disciplinary technical team, works with internal project managers and is actively involved in all aspects of the end-to-end delivery of solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
This role will also lead the modernising of our internal infrastructure and build internal platforms that enable automation, self-service and developer productivity
Key Responsibilities for the role include:
Execute the roadmap for infrastructure and platform services, aligning with business and technology goals;
Develop and promote internal platforms that provide self-service capabilities, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and promote adoption of containerisation technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker);
Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Managers and Business Analysts to provide project estimates and regular updates on project status as part of an Agile methodology; and
Manage and mentor a team of Systems and DevOps Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About You
You will have all or majority of the following skills and attributes:
10+ year’s infrastructure experience with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a technical leadership role managing a team of infrastructure engineers.
Strong skills and demonstrated experience in Red Hat or Microsoft OS stacks.
Proven experience operating effectively in a DevOps environment and exposure to the complete SDLC.
Demonstrated ability to effectively elicit, interpret and translate processes and system information from stakeholders into complex technical solutions.
Experience working in a complex environment supporting multiple parallel projects.
Previous experience in the payments, banking, finance or other heavily regulated industries will be highly desirable.
